Sometimes God calls us into seasons we never imagined for ourselves.

Well, here we are. Officially a homeschool family! 🥹

Although we officially began our homeschool year at the beginning of October, we’ve really been learning at home since September. And truthfully, if you’ve been around for a while, you know that teaching my babies at home isn’t exactly new to me.

When Aria was little, I spent so much time creating activities, printables, and what I lovingly called our little “baby school.” I even had a season where I sold my homemade learning materials on Etsy. (OGs, you remember!)

But this season feels different.

For starters, I absolutely loved the school Aria attended. The staff, the teachers, the environment, the love they poured into her. I genuinely have nothing but beautiful things to say about our experience there.

And I think that’s what made this decision so interesting.

We weren’t leaving something bad.

We were simply being called into something different.

A few months ago, I felt the Lord gently placing homeschooling on my heart. And like most things God calls us to do, I had approximately 473 questions and very few answers. 😂

How would I balance motherhood, running my business, caring for a baby, and now educating my daughter?

But one thing I’ve learned in my walk with Jesus is that obedience doesn’t always come with a perfectly mapped-out plan.

Sometimes He simply asks us to take the next step.

And so we did.

We’ve turned a little corner of our home into what we call The Little Learning Cottage, and our days have become a beautiful mixture of phonics, Bible stories, nature studies, Spanish lessons, crafts, and the occasional interruption from a very enthusiastic baby brother.

Is every day perfectly structured? Absolutely not.

Do I always know what I’m doing? Also no. 😂

But I’m learning that homeschooling isn’t about recreating a traditional classroom inside our home. It’s about cultivating a love for learning, nurturing curiosity, and being intentional with the time God has entrusted to us. More than anything, I want our home to be a place where my children grow not only in knowledge, but in wisdom, character, and their love for Jesus.

Because ultimately, I’m not just raising a student. I’m raising a disciple.

We’re still figuring out our rhythms, adjusting our schedules, and learning what works best for our family.

And that’s okay. I don’t know exactly what every future school year will look like, but I know that for this season, this is where God has called us.

And there’s something incredibly beautiful about finding peace in that.

Here’s to slow mornings, little discoveries, lots of grace, and learning right alongside our children.

Welcome to our Little Learning Cottage. 🤎

With love, Coco
